Dave Bautista is Angry at James Gunn's Sacking From Guardians of the Galaxy

On Friday evening, the celebrity tweeted he's"not okay" with all the writer-director's shooting from Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3, that Disney declared earlier in the afternoon.


"I have to say but for now all I will say is this..@JamesGunn is among the most loving, affectionate, good-natured individuals I've ever met," tweeted Bautista. "He is kind and gentle and cares deeply for animals and people. He has made mistakes. Most of us have. I am NOT okay with what is happening ."


Bautista, a wrestler turned actor, had his breakout character as Drax at 2014's Guardians of the Galaxy, that turned into a surprise hit for Marvel and Disney.


Marvel celebrity David Dastmalchian, who performs Kurt from the Ant-Man collection, chose to Instagram to shield Gunn and attest the manager is"among the most amazing people" he is known.


"I have been saying that this FOR ages! @jamesgunn is among the most amazing people I have ever understood - both professionally & personally," he wrote.


Gunn's shooting came following conservative characters resurfaced old tweets Thursday where the filmmaker joked about contentious topics, including pedophilia and rape. Disney declared Friday that the studio has been severing ties with the manager, because of his"offensive statements and attitudes."


Adhering to the studio's statement, Gunn issued an announcement stating that he"regretted" that the tweets in query and worried that"they do not signify" that he is now.


"My words of almost a decade ago were, at the moment, totally unsuccessful and unfortunate attempts to be more provocative," his statement read. "I've regretted them for several years because -- not simply because they were dumb, not in any way funny, exceptionally insensitive and not provocative like I'd expected, but also since they do not reflect the person I'm now or have been around for a time."


He continued:"No matter how much time has passed, I know and accept the company decisions taken now. These many decades after, I take full responsibility for how I conducted myself afterward. All I could do today, beyond supplying my honest and heartfelt sorrow, would be to be the best human being I'm: accepting, understanding, dedicated to equality and a lot more considerate about my public announcements along with my duties to our public discourse. To everybody inside my business and outside, I offer my deepest apologies. Love to all"

Before the shooting, the manager had addressed the excavated tweets on Thursday, explaining that he saw himself as a"provocateur" and told jokes which were"outrageous and taboo." Gunn tweeted,"As I've discussed several times publicly, as I've grown as an individual, so has my job and my comedy."


He included:"It is not to say I am better, but I am very, very different than I had been a couple of years back; now I attempt to root my job in connection and love and not as much in anger. My days stating something simply because it's shocking and seeking to obtain a response are ."


Gunn's offensive tweets came to light following conservative site The Daily Caller awakened the social networking articles, which were largely published in 2008 and 2009. Shortly after, conservative characters began demanding followers face Gunn in San Diego Comic-Con, since he had been expected to be at Sony's demonstration on Friday. Gunn did not appear in Comic-Con.


Before his latest controversy, Gunn was writing the script for Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3, and also the film was expected to start shooting in Atlanta in the fall for an expected 2020 launch date, even though Marvel Studios hadn't officially declared that the date.
